Federation X (Circa 2001)

This was Fed X's first outing at the Project Eclipse game in 2001. Seen here is the original lineup of rogues along with the first awards pulled in- Castro's MVP certificate (seen in his hand at far right) and the MVT award proudly displayed at center.

Most Valuable Refs
FedX served as special guest referees for Black Cat's September '03 scenario known as "Pirate's Keep." The team was awarded the MVR award as a result of their commitment to the game and dedication to sportsmanship.

Old
Dogs... New Tricks
The team got together at Paintball Pro Shop in Reading to learn a few new steps from some experienced speedball practitioners. Here we see Dangerous Dave and Drill-Head preparing for the breakout. They served as very adequate targets for the first part of the day...

By the end of the day, however, these two were bringing some respectable heat to the opposition and pulling in the eliminations... and wins! Learning some of the finer points of tournament ball is one of Fed X's training goals for 2004. We hope to translate some of the speed and aggression of this type of play into our chosen arena on the scenario field.

Blitzkreig Bop!
Federation X poses for war correspondents outside the rubble of Stalingrad (War In the Woods, Columbiana, OH) for Black Cat's 12 hour March scenario "The Battle for Stalingrad." In this game we portrayed the men of the elite 4th Panzer Division. Our very own captain Dangerous Dave XO'd for the Germans while team member Old Crow portrayed Field General Hermann Hoth. Hoth's attempt to link up with and support Field Marshall Friederick Von Paulus (portrayed by Chris Havlik) in his attack on Stalingrad proved successful as the German war machine rolled over the Russians in a frigid late-night victory. An INCREDIBLE time was had by all!

Far Left- Old Crow leads the left wing at The Battle of Stalingrad
Left- Some of the men from Uncle Slappy's College of Combat Dentistry (and Clown College) showed up to help the Germans pick their way through the streets of Stalingrad.

On to Moscow!!
Federation X continued the winning streak on May 29th and 30th as Black Cat Productions changed the history of the world at the 24 Hour Scenario "The March on Moscow." The German team managed to subdue the great Eastern Bear and remove Russia from WWII in 1942. Black Cat Productions will be continuing this thrilling alternate history series next season with World Domination III.
"The Blues Brothers Ride Again!"
This year's International Amateur Open featured a battle between Sweet Soul Music and the Forces of the Establishment. Veteran scenario gamer Ron "The Professor" Verall and FED X team member Jonathan "Old Crow" Foust stepped up to don the black and... well, black, as Joliet Jake and Elwood Blues.
FEDeration X donated their skills as referees for the weekend and our very own Drill-Head brought home the honors as Most Valuable Ref.

Many industry names turned out to show their support for the fastest growing facet of paintball, not the least of whom was Tom Kaye himself. Tom Kaye's company, Air Gun Designs, announced this year that they will no longer be sponsoring tournament paintball, choosing instead to shift their focus to scenario games.
The final outcome was that even though the FOE did win out on points and win the game, the band managed to slip away during the fighting and escape to lovely Jamaica. The Army of Blues was able to raise enough money for the boys to begin their world tour so all was not lost.

Final note- turns out that chicks dig creepy guys in beat up old squad cars. Who knew?

"Shatnerball '04"

A few of the team made it west to
Joliet, IL to partake in "Mobster Mash," the latest installment of William
Shatner's annual charity paintball extravaganza. The high point of the
trip for me was the opportunity to take a hot round to the head for the Great
One himself. If I hadn't been where I was then Bill "James T. Kirk"
Shatner would have been down for the count. As it happened the woefully
over-torqued ball tore through the hat I was wearing and thudded against my
unsuspecting skull. I was honored to die like so much
red-shirted-ensign-without-a-name scum for my captain.
Pictured here are some of the attractions from
Challenge Park Extreme, including the town of Bedlam, IL, their friendly and not
at all intimidating trolley for taking players to the fields, and the tank whose
gunner chose to hose me
even
though I was only carrying a camera and was clearly no threat to him or his
crew. Thank you.
P.S. I am in the process of building a case for "The Hat."

"The Looney Bin"
Well, once more the forces of B. Bunny's Inerasables managed to pull one out of the fire on us. Cartface and his gang served once more on the side of Duffy Duck and his Renegades, but were just not quite able to get over the top.
A great time was had by all at this inaugural event for Professor Lumpy's Paintball Academy. The new field is coming together and filled with promise.

FED X did manage to hook up with some great folks from team Wicked Grin out of PA and wreak much nighttime havoc. We had a blast and can't wait to see what Lumpy's shapes up to be!
FEDERATION X (CIRCA 2005- The Year of the Cock!)
World Domination III: Shadows Over London

The crew turned out again to push our advantage at the third installment of the World Domination Series. Russia had fallen to the Axis powers in '42 and now England was the only power standing between Germany and complete dominion over the Earth.
It was only a matter of time before The Fuhrer turned his eyes on London. Staying true to the side that brought us victory in the first two WD games FED X came out to waive the Iron Cross once more.
The resistance by the Brits was staunch and ended up being
a bit too much for the German war machine... but only by a hair. The
British pulled off a win of
only
13 points, barely repulsing the invading hordes. Is a rematch in the
cards? You'll have to wait and see...
This event saw the maiden voyage of FED X's newest implement of destruction... or at the very least an implement of having a place to keep our stuff while we go out and destroy. Its Da Bus.
I think that Huddie "Leadbelly"
Ledbetter said it best when he said, "Oh, Black Betty, bama lama, oh
she's so
fine, bama lama, oh she's all Castro's."
The Bell Tower at Lumpy's is nearing completion. Here you can see its imposing facade which served as Big Ben during the siege of London.

Once again the team encouraged "Keith" to work on his handle. Names such as "Keylor the Destruktor" and "That One Guy" were dismissed as someone already had copyrights on both of them.
Better luck next time.
IAO 2005- Trouble Comes to Hazzard

YEE HAW! The paint was a'flyin' at this years IAO as the final showdown between the Hoggs and the Dukes heated up at the Big Butler Fairgrounds in Pittsburgh, PA. FED X came out to referee and take part in the fun. Costumes abounded and there was even a General Lee on hand for them ol' dukes to slide across the hood of. Many a childhood Duke Boys fantasy came to life as the Hoggs finally managed to enforce a law against Uncle Jesse and his clan. At the end of the weekend the Dukes were "cuffed and stuffed" just like Roscoe always wanted to do.

Old friend and sponsor "Chris The Flurry Guy" was on hand to sign autographs... oh yeah, and sell the best darn tactical gear in the industry.
Here we see two Lebanese tourists posing for a portrait with Chris. Actually, that's Dangerous Dave and Drill Head from FED X... but I'd still check the passport of the guy on the right!

FED X and friends- Whenever we go out, the people always shout, "There goes John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt." And then they want their pictures taken with us. Go figure.
Here FED X and displays our Varsity and JV teams for next season. We're really excited about regional and we hope that the size of our defensive line doesn't hurt us too bad in the playoffs.

"Can't sleep, Clown will EAT ME!"
The Psycho Clown Posse and FED X "paid our respects" to venerable scenario team "Blues Crew" in the middle of the night as they slept the kind of sleep that only people who get paid to play paintball can sleep.
These are some of the best guys who shoot Twinkies out of cannons that you'll ever get a chance to meet, so take advantage of it if you get a chance!
Soldier's Story II: Antares Rising- *pics coming*
Ever get an idea in your head and you just can't shake it? A line from a movie, perhaps, or a chorus from a song. Maybe it's the subjugation of the human race that keeps you up at night? If so you've got a lot in common with the Antarian race who just couldn't leave Earth well enough alone after 2003's "A Soldier's Story."
The blue-skinned heavies were back in force at Three Rivers Paintball in Freedom, PA. FED X spent some time on the field and even shot a few people before shutting down for the night and kissing our sorry butts goodbye.
Final score: Humans killed a battalion of Antarians, Antarians waxed the entire planet. I don't care what solar system you come from, around these parts I call that a win.
